Best Interest

I have often thought about what the term “In my best interest”, or “In your best interest”.
I struggle with structures like that because it’s a relative distinction and I have a lazy mind.
I prefer facts over hyperbole.

I’ve embraced it now. I think to make this comparison work in the real-time one needs a goal or path.
It’s only after we start evaluating the experiences on our journey that we are able to find right path. In a world where concepts like “the path of least resistance” and “do the right thing”, and “karma” battle for click-supremacy, we need a guidepost that helps with the priorities.

May your path be rightous and true. May your legacy be profound.

Twenty-Two

Yield and overcome;
Bend and be straight;
Empty and be full;
Wear out and be new;
Have little and gain;
Have much and be confused.

Therefore wise men embrace the one
And set an example to all.
Not putting on a display,
They shine forth.
Not justifying themselves,
They are distinguished.
Not boasting,
They receive recognition.
Not bragging,
They never falter.
They do not quarrel,
So no one quarrels with them.
Therefore the ancients say, “Yield and overcome.”
Is that an empty saying?
Be truly whole,
And all things will come to you.
